Zervas Kindergarten Soccer
Since 1993, Newton Kindergarten Soccer has been introducing children to soccer in a fun and non-competitive environment where girls and boys develop friendships, learn teamwork, and gain confidence.
Each week there is an hour-long session includes a half hour of soccer “drills” and a half-hour scrimmage, run by our volunteer parent coaches. Kindergarten Soccer is held on Saturday mornings, at Richardson Field, located between Beacon and Woodward Streets in Waban. Our program, held in the fall and spring, is open to all children enrolled in kindergarten in Newton, Massachusetts. Our spring season has an additional time slot for those kids who will enter kindergarten the following fall.
This program provides an introduction to soccer, as well as an opportunity for children and parents to meet other “kindergarten families” in their school district. Please note that this is not a drop-off program. Parents or other caregivers must remain at the field where their child is playing. The fee is $70 per child, and each child must wear shin guards and bring a size 3 soccer ball. We offer a $10 sibling discount for multiple kids registered during the season. Refunds (minus a $10 administration fee) will be provided until the registration deadline. If space is available after the deadline, there is a $20 late fee for registration.

The West Suburban YMCA in Newton also has options for the young ones (ages 3-8) who are interested in soccer. More information can be found at YMCA website
