Winter Soccer

NYS is delighted to provide winter programming for the first time. Futsal based, NYS will run a 16 week program, broken into 2x8 week sessions. Skills based, with a small element of game play, this is a great opportunity and training environment for players looking to continue their development over the cold, winter months!



Session 1: November 30th-January 28th

Session 2: February 1st-March 31st

No Training: December 24th-January 3rd, February 15th-February 21st & MLK Day

Location: Carr Elementary School, 225 Nevada Street, Newtonville.

6-7pm 1st Grade 1st Grade U9 U9
7-8pm 2nd Grade 2nd Grade U10 U10
8-9pm U12/U14 U11 U12 U14


Please note - 3rd grade is typically U9, 4th grade U10, 5th grade U11, 6th Grade U12, 7 & 8th grade U14. Clarification on age groups can be found here:

In addition, NYS recommends the following programs over the winter months:


  • MA Futsal - futsal is a fast paced indoor game played on a basketball court with proper soccer goals.  The ball is small and made to not bounce as much as an outdoor ball.  It is great for skills development.  MA Futsal runs two winter sessions Dec-Jan and Feb-Mar.  Games are typically played in Newton or Brookline.
