Becoming a Referee

We are always looking for intramural referees.  It is a great way to contribute to Newton Soccer, be involved with soccer, and make some money.

There is a Pre-Season Intramural training program in the fall for all incoming U-12 BAYS players, 6th and 7th grade students. If you would like to referee games this fall, you must attend this session. No previous referee experience is necessary. You will be assigned to games appropriate to your age and experience. This will improve your understanding of the game, it is fun and you get PAID! Please bring a friend!

Once you are trained to be an Intramural referee, you may move on to become BAYS certified.  This allows you to make more money refereeing Intramural games, and also become eligible to referee BAYS games.   Certification classes are held through the year.

If you have any questions, please send an email to stevenjaronson@yahoo.com.
